About Matt

Capturing Athletic Stories, Inspiring Futures

A Visionary Behind the Lens

Photography is more than a profession for me—it’s a calling. I’m Matt Bilancia, a professional photographer who sees beyond the surface, transforming athletic and fashion moments into powerful narratives that inspire, motivate, and preserve legacies.

My Journey: From Service to Storytelling

My path to professional photography is as unique as the athletes I photograph. My journey began in the United States Air Force, where I learned the most critical lessons about discipline, precision, and capturing moments that matter. Those years of service taught me that true excellence is about more than just technical skill—it’s about understanding the human story behind every image.

The motto; “Wish it! Dream it! Do it!” is how Matt approaches every photograph that he captures. He challenges those that he comes in contact with to embrace this motto knowing that is how he captures those raw emotions, and brings those jaw dropping images to life!

My Story

How I Got Started

The first time I had a camera in my hands was about the age of 7. I would take photos of my cousins, pets, vacations and some of the crazy things that boys do when we are on our bicycles, and skateboards. This was back when we had film, and the camera was unforgiving! I then joined the United States Air Force when I was 20 years old and worked around aircraft, there were plenty of opportunities to photograph AirShows and the traveling I got to do. When I was stationed in Tucson AZ, I would love to watch the Thunderstorms and Photograph the Lightning Strikes! What a challenge! Sadly, I got gravely injured in 2002. Photography became my way to rehab from my injuries and 48 major medial procedures, it would inspire me as well as others while challenging me in a healthy way.
